30 July 2015 - Secondary school students from the Great East Japan Earthquake area visit Ireland
On 30 July, a group of 10 secondary school students from the Tohoku region staying in Ireland on a homestay programme organised by the Japanese charity “Support Our Kids” visited the Embassy and spoke about their experiences of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Accompanied by Ambassador Atsumi, the students met Cllr Críona Ní Dhálaigh, the Lord Mayor of Dublin, at the Mansion House.

4 July – Irish National Kendo Championship and Japanese Ambassador’s Cup
On 4 July, the Irish National Kendo Championship and Japanese Ambassador’s Cup were held by the Irish Kendo Federation and the Embassy of Japan in Galway with around 40 competitors taking part.
