29 May – Judo Tournament Marking the 10th Anniversary of Kodokan Ireland Judo Club
A judo tournament organised by Kodokan Ireland Judo Club to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the club was held.

21 May – Diva Voces
Diva Voces, a female choral group founded in 2006, performed Masa Matsuura’s “Requiem” (an Irish premiere) and Kentaro Sato’s “Mae-e (Forward)” at St. Andrew's Church, Dublin. Ambassador Miyoshi attended the concert.

17 May – Visit by Ambassador Miyoshi to Olympic House
Ambassador Miyoshi met with Dr. Patrick Hickey, President of the Olympic Council of Ireland, at Olympic House in Howth and requested support for the 60th Anniversary of Japan-Ireland Diplomatic Relations in 2017, the 2019 Rugby World Cup, and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

10 May – Visit by Ambassador Miyoshi to ALPS Electric
Ambassador Miyoshi visited ALPS Electric in Millstreet. The factory, which was established in 1988, currently employs approximately 700 people.

10 May – Visit by Ambassador Miyoshi to the University of Limerick
Ambassador Miyoshi visited the University of Limerick and met with University President Don Barry and Professor Barbara Geraghty. Along with Dublin City University, the University of Limerick also has its own Japanese language department.

4 May – Exchange of Views with Japanese Studies Academics
On the eve of the Boys’ Festival, surrounding the traditional dolls displayed for the occasion, Ambassador Miyoshi exchanged views with Japanese Studies related university academics.
