1 June – Invest Japan Seminar
In a Dublin city hotel, an “Invest Japan Seminar”, organised by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) with the cooperation of the Embassy, Enterprise Ireland and the Ireland Japan Association, took place with 75 participants from Irish companies.
8 June – Koto Performance and Kimono Event
At St. Ann’s Church, a koto concert by Fuyuki Enokido was held. Later on that same day at the Ambassador’s official residence a “Japanese Cultural Evening” that combined both a kimono demonstration and a koto recital took place and was enjoyed by those who attended.

11 June – Irish National Kendo Championships and Ambassador’s Cup
Ambassador Miyoshi attended the Irish National Kendo Championships and Ambassador’s Cup that was held in Dublin City. The Ambassador’s Cup was jointly organised by the Irish Kendo Federation and the Embassy.
22 June – Shakuhachi Concert
Reiryo Yamashiro, who lived in Dublin 10 years ago, visited Dublin with his friends Reido Konno and Masataka Yanagimachi to give a shakuhachi and guitar concert at St. Ann’s Church.
Ambassador Miyoshi attended the Irish National Kendo Championships and Ambassador’s Cup that was held in Dublin City. The Ambassador’s Cup was jointly organised by the Irish Kendo Federation and the Embassy.


22 June – Shakuhachi Concert
Reiryo Yamashiro, who lived in Dublin 10 years ago, visited Dublin with his friends Reido Konno and Masataka Yanagimachi to give a shakuhachi and guitar concert at St. Ann’s Church.


23 June – Ambassador Miyoshi Visits Carten Controls
Ambassador Miyoshi visited Japanese company Carten Controls (a manufacturer of bulbs and semi-conductors) in Waterford and received a briefing on its operations as well a tour of its factory.
23 June – Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Gardens 2nd Anniversary Ceremony
Ambassador Miyoshi attended the Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Gardens 2nd Anniversary ceremony in Tramore and, together with the local people, enjoyed a jujitsu and Japanese archery demonstration by Dragon’s Lair Martial Arts from Kilkenny.
Ambassador Miyoshi visited Japanese company Carten Controls (a manufacturer of bulbs and semi-conductors) in Waterford and received a briefing on its operations as well a tour of its factory.

24 June – Silent Film Show
A “Silent Film Show” by Katsudo-Benshi narrator Hideyuki Yamashiro and pianist Mie Yanashita was held at the Chester Beatty Library.
25 June – Satoko Inoue Contemporary Piano Concert
A contemporary music concert entitled “Lafcadio Hearn Project and Music Documents” by pianist Satoko Inoue took place at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin.
A “Silent Film Show” by Katsudo-Benshi narrator Hideyuki Yamashiro and pianist Mie Yanashita was held at the Chester Beatty Library.


25 June – Satoko Inoue Contemporary Piano Concert
A contemporary music concert entitled “Lafcadio Hearn Project and Music Documents” by pianist Satoko Inoue took place at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin.


29 June – 1 July – Gagaku Concerts
Performances of gagaku (Imperial court music) by Naoyuki Manabe were held at St. Ann’s Church, St. Patrick’s Gateway Centre in Waterford and the Chester Beatty Library.
