5 July 2019 – Takeda Ireland New Manufacturing Plant Opening Ceremony
Ambassador Miyoshi was invited as a guest speaker, together with Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, Regina Doherty, to the opening ceremony of Takeda Ireland’s new manufacturing plant in Grange Castle, Dublin.

10 July 2019 – Rugby World Cup and Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games Countdown Reception
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup in two months and one year before the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, a countdown reception was held at Ambassador Miyoshi’s residence to promote Japan as a tourism destination, the Japanese language, etc. The almost 100 guests enjoyed the evening immensely.

14 July 2019 – National Day of Commemoration Ceremony
Ambassador Miyoshi, together with other Ambassadors, attended the annual National Day of Commemoration Ceremony at Collins Barracks in Dublin.

Mr Mark Egan, Head of Performance and Competitions, World Rugby, received the Foreign Minister’s Commendation Award from Foreign Minister Mr Taro Kono.

This year 43 Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme participants from Ireland departed for 18 prefectures throughout Japan.
