Farewell Reception hosted by Ambassador and Mrs Kitano

On 1 December 2022, Ambassador and Mrs Kitano held a farewell reception at the Ambassador's Residence prior to their departure from Ireland on 8 December. 110 people attended the reception including government officials, diplomatic corps, business representatives, academics, and cultural professionals representing various fields.
In his host speech, Ambassador Kitano reflected on his three-year and three-month tenure and expressed his gratitude for the support and cooperation he received.
H.E. Mr Lahcen Mahraoui, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco and Acting Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, and Mr Paul Kavanagh, Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign Affairs and a former Ambassador of Ireland to Japan, gave guest speeches. They shared their memories of Ambassador Kitano and wished the Ambassador the best for the future.
