2024 JET Programme Pre-Departure Orientation and Farewell Reception

On 6 July, the 2024 JET Programme Pre-Departure Orientation and Farewell Reception were held at Ambassador Maruyama’s official residence in Dublin. As of this summer, 45 new Irish JETs will participate on the programme working in schools, local government offices and other institutions across Japan, from Hokkaido in the north all the way to Kagoshima in the south. The JETs spent the day learning the ins and outs of the programme and vital information for transitioning to their new life, roles and responsibilities in Japan.
