2025 JET Programme Coordinator (Application Deadline: January 29th, 2025)
We are pleased to inform you that the Embassy of Japan in Ireland is accepting applications for the position of Irish JET Programme Coordinator.
- Period of contract: beginning of March 2025 to end of March 2026 (The first month is a probation period.)
- Remuneration: Daily allowance of €120.00
Please note the Embassy does not use the PAYE system, and therefore, the employee will be responsible for paying PRSI and income tax from his/her salary.
- Working days: Monday to Friday in principle (excluding Embassy holidays)
- Working hours: 09.15 to 13.00, 14.00 to 17.45
- Computer skills: Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and SNSs (Facebook, X, and Instagram) required
- Selection process: First interviews: February 4th. Second interviews for shortlisted candidates: February 7th (interviews will be held via web conferencing)
The JET Coordinator will be expected to work within the Embassy’s Information and Culture Section and will be required to act as an assistant under the supervision of the official in charge of the Section throughout the duration of the contract.
The JET Coordinator will be primarily responsible for all aspects of the JET Programme in Ireland. This will include coordinating JET applications, screening and interviews, conducting media promotions, and assisting applicants at all stages of the application process.
The JET Coordinator will be expected to liaise with the current Irish JET contingent in Japan, and work closely as a member of the Irish JET Alumni Association (JETAA) in Ireland Committee. Maturity, flexibility and the ability to use your initiative are essential.
