Meeting with Ms Karen Ruddock, Director of Post Primary Language Ireland (PPLI)

On 19 December, Ambassador-designate MIYAGAWA Manabu and Ms NAKATA Keiko, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan, met Ms Karen Ruddock, Director of PPLI.

Both sides discussed ongoing and future cooperation regarding Japanese language learning and teaching in Ireland, whilst acknowledging that Ireland has the highest number of Japanese language learners per capita in Europe and the active participation of Irish people in the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) programme.
