On 21 January, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu and Ms NAKATA Keiko visited UCD. Ambassador greeted to Professor Orla Feely, President of UCD, and professors of the university.
Following the President’s welcome remarks, the university side explained about the activities of Center for Japanese Studies. Both sides were engaged in free discussion on further possibilities of exchanges between UCD and Japanese stakeholders such as educational institutions, governments, enterprises among others, taking into account the upcoming EU Presidency of Ireland in the latter half of this year as well as the 70th anniversary to commemorate the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Ireland.
The Embassy of Japan in Ireland will continue to build on the ongoing active exchanges between UCD and Japan.
