On 4 March, students from the UCD Politics and International Relations Society visited Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu at the Embassy of Japan in Ireland. The Ambassador introduced the history of Japan-Ireland relations and the role of Japanese diplomacy in international relations. Then, there was free discussion between the UCD students and the Ambassador on various issues regarding Japan and Ireland in the world.  .
The students also heard about the many opportunities for students and graduates to work or study in Japan, including the MEXT Scholarships, the JET Programme, the Working Holiday Visa, and more from the Embassy’s Culture Assistant Dáithí and JET Coordinator Richard.
The Embassy of Japan in Ireland is extremely grateful for the students’ visit, and looks forward to the next opportunity to meet the UCD Politics and International Relations Society!
