St Patrick's Day in Tokyo

On 15 March, the parade was held in Omotesando, and on 14–15 March, the 2026 Green Ireland Festival took place in Yoyogi Park. A large number of people participated in the celebrations. On behalf of the Government of Ireland, Mr Seán Canney TD, Minister of State at the Department of Transport and his accompanying members took part in both the parade and the festival, and the Minister delivered a congratulatory address. From the Embassy of Japan in Ireland, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu, who was on a business trip to Tokyo, also joined the events and said a few words of welcome to the Irish delegation, expressing gratitude to the organisers and volunteers at the festival in Yoyogi Park.
