On 26 March, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu paid a courtesy call on Ceann Comhairle (Speaker of the Lower House), Verona Murphy TD. Following the Ceann Comhairle’s words of welcome, Ambassador MIYAGAWA stated his intention to facilitate further exchanges between parliamentarians of Japan and Ireland in order to promote friendly relations between the two countries, taking into account a range of opportunities leading up to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2027.
