On 17 April, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu paid a courtesy call on the Hon Mr Justice Donal O'Donnell, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
After a warm welcome and a kind explanation of the history of the Supreme Court from Chief Justice, Ambassador paid tribute to the Supreme Court and the Irish judiciary as guardians of the Constitution and the rule of law. The Ambassador and Chief Justice also discussed fostering further links between the Judiciaries and legal systems of Ireland and Japan.
