On 25 April, under crisp blue skies, a Mini Japan Day was held at the Irish National Stud. Music from Okinawa and Chichibu, a yukata (summer kimono) try-on, matcha latte making, origami, and traditional children’s games were all on display, and a large number of visitors enjoyed their Saturday afternoon at the event.
At the venue, a ceremony for the Japanese Language Contest organised by the Association of Japanese Language Teachers in Ireland was also held, moderated by Ms Nobuko IJICHI. From the Embassy of Japan in Ireland, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu had the honour of presenting the certificates to the awardees.
Congratulations to all the awardees and participants. We hope that you will continue to enjoy learning Japanese.
