On 27 April, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu and Ms NAKATA Keiko, First Secretary at the Embassy of Japan in Ireland, visited Mitsubishi Electric Ireland in west Dublin and held talks with Branch President Mr Ciaran Moody (centre) and other senior members of the company.

Established in 1981, Mitsubishi Electric Ireland has, through its living environmental systems and factory automation businesses, contributed to and grown alongside the Irish economy over many years.

In recent years, with regard to the promotion of heat pumps—also highlighted in Ireland’s Climate Action Plan—the company has played a leading role within Ireland not only in sales but also in human resource development and the relevant infrastructure development, thereby making a significant contribution to the prevention of global warming.

Seeing is believing. The Embassy of Japan would like to reiterate its sincere appreciation for being given a tour of the company’s in-house exhibition space, including displays of its latest products such as heat pumps, and for the opportunity to hear about the challenges it faces in its day-to-day business. We will continue to listen carefully to the company’s views as we work towards further developing Japan–Ireland economic relations.
