On the evening of 16 May, at the 84th Ard Fheis of Fianna Fáil was held in Dublin, and Taoiseach Micheál Martin addressed party members, supporters, members of the diplomatic corps, and others in his capacity as President of Fianna Fáil, which is marking its centenary year. He set out his fundamental views on Ireland’s domestic and foreign policies, reviewed achievements to date, and spoke about his aspirations for people's future.

Following the speech, the Taoiseach took part in a reception with TDs, Members of European Parliament, and the diplomatic corps. Representing the Embassy of Japan in Ireland were Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu and Mr ISHIMOTO Akihiro, First Secretary.

The Embassy of Japan will continue working together with the Government and people of Ireland, including Taoiseach Micheál Martin, who visited Japan in 2025, in order to ensure that Japan and Ireland jointly uphold the rule of law within the international community, promoting global peace and prosperity in the face of a wide range of challenges.
