Since its establishment in 1986 as Yamanouchi Ireland Co., Ltd., the company has steadily expanded its investment in Ireland. Recognising Ireland’s position as a global hub for manufacturing, research, and development activities, the company shared last year that it would make new investments totalling €129 million (approximately ¥21.93 billion) over a three-year period.
The Embassy of Japan in Ireland will continue to cooperate with Astellas as much as possible so that the company's business continues to grow, leading to further deepening of economic relations between Japan and Ireland as well.
