On 25 June, Ambassador MIYAGAWA and Ms ONOZAKI, Economic Researcher at the Embassy of Japan in Ireland, visited Dublin Chamber and met with Ms Mary Rose Burke, Chief Executive Officer, and Ms Maria Deady, Head of International, to exchange views on Japan-Ireland economic relations and business exchanges.

Ambassador Miyagawa talked about recent trends in Japanese investment in Ireland and the experiences of Irish companies operating in Japan. With just five days remaining until Ireland assumes the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, he stated that the Embassy of Japan will continue dialogue with Dublin Chamber in order to further strengthen cooperation in areas including trade and investment, research and development, and economic security.

The Embassy of Japan in Ireland is grateful for this valuable opportunity to exchange views, particularly for CEO Burke's insightful views on the current state and future outlook of the Irish economy (please also see our Facebook post of 11 May 2026). The Embassy, together with Dublin Chamber, will make every effort to further develop the economic relationship between Japan and Ireland.
