Education Exchange between Japan and Ireland

On 22 June, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu met with Professor Orla Feely, President of University College Dublin (UCD), together with the University's leadership, to exchange views on educational cooperation between Japan and Ireland.
Ambassador MIYAGAWA expressed his congratulation to UCD on its achievement of rising 18 places in the latest world university rankings to enter the world's top 100 universities. President Feely noted that, earlier that morning, she had met with Taoiseach Micheál Martin at his office and commemorated the centenary of agrifood education in Ireland, together with University College Cork (UCC).
The Embassy of Japan in Ireland highly values its longstanding cooperation with UCD in Japanese language education, scientific collaboration, and cultural exchange amongst others. The Embassy will make full use of every available opportunity to further deepen its partnership with the University in the years ahead.
