On 14 August, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu met with Lord Mayor of Dublin Daryl Barron at the Mansion House. Ambassador MIYAGAWA expressed his gratitude for the Lord Mayor’s speech in support of peace at the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Memorial Ceremony held in Dublin on 6 August (see the Embassy’s Facebook post dated 7 August).
In light of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Ireland in 2027, they also exchanged views on the prospects for future exchanges between Dublin and Japan, building on the longstanding ties between Dublin and various Japanese cities.
The Embassy of Japan in Ireland looks forward to working together to further develop exchanges between Dublin and Japan.
