Exchange of Views with the Japanese Business Society in Ireland

On 19 August, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu met with Mr TAKANO Hiroyuki, Chairman of the Japanese Business Society in Ireland, and other members of the society. The Ambassador reported on the signing on 30 July of the Japan–EU agreement on Horizon Europe, the Embassy's visit to Irish Manufacturing Research in County Westmeath (Please see the Embassy’s Facebook post dated 29 June), and recent exchanges between the Embassy and relevant Irish Government departments based on requests from Japanese companies regarding Ireland’s investment environment. They also exchanged views on preparations for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Ireland in 2027.
The Embassy of Japan in Ireland will continue to support the development of Japanese companies’ business activities in Ireland and further strengthen economic relations between the two countries. The Embassy also intends to continue dialogue on possible areas of cooperation towards the 70th anniversary.
