Experience Japan" at Farmleigh House

On 1 April, the "Hanami "(cherry blossom viewing) event at Farmleigh House, which is a highlight of the "Experience Japan" cultural week presented with the support of Dublin City Council, was held and Ambassador Atsumi and the Lord Mayor of Dublin gave opening remarks. This year's "Experience Japan" was the third since 2010. At the Hanami event, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy various aspects of Japanese culture such as traditional songs by the pupils of the Japanese Saturday School, a Taiko drum performance by students, a rice pounding (Mochi-tsuki) demonstration by the Embassy, as well as Japanese foods sold at the venue.
